Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants were required to satisfy one of the prescribed nursing qualification routes:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the relevant State Nursing Council.
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised institution, wherever permitted under the recruitment rules.
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised institution, along with the required professional experience specified in the detailed notification.
- Registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council was mandatory.
- Candidates must produce original educational, registration and experience certificates during document verification.
Age Limit
- The usual age range for Nursing Officer recruitment is 18 to 30 years, subject to the cut-off date stated in the notification.
- Age relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under central government rules.
