Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • For Assistant Engineer (Civil), candidates were required to possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institution.
  • For Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification was required.
  • For Junior Engineer (Mechanical), candidates were generally required to hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised technical institution.
  • Applicants were also required to meet Assam residency, registration and documentary conditions prescribed in the relevant advertisement.
  • The original recruitment notifications will prevail in case of any variation in qualification requirements.

Age Limit

  • The indicative age range for Assistant Engineer posts was 21 to 38 years.
  • For the Junior Engineer post, the indicative age range was 18 to 40 years.
  • The applicable cut-off date for calculating age must be checked in the respective 2025 advertisement.
  • Upper-age relaxation was available to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC, PwBD and other eligible categories under Assam government rules.

Fees
