Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have completed a degree, diploma or postgraduate degree programme of at least three years after Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
- Candidates appearing for the final examination of an eligible programme may apply, provided they complete the qualifying examination by the prescribed deadline in July 2027.
- Candidates who have passed the GD Arts diploma programme under the 10+5 pattern may also be eligible.
- Qualifying CEED does not automatically guarantee admission. Each participating institution may prescribe additional academic, portfolio, interview or discipline-specific requirements.
- Applicants should verify the individual admission conditions of the institute and programme for which they intend to apply.
Age Limit
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in CEED 2027.

Selection Process
- CEED written examination: Candidates will take the entrance examination comprising Part A and Part B. Part A assesses visualisation, logical reasoning, observation and design aptitude, while Part B evaluates drawing, creativity, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Evaluation and score preparation: Part B is evaluated for candidates shortlisted on the basis of Part A performance. The final CEED score is prepared under the examination scheme specified by IIT Bombay.
- Institute-level admission: Qualified candidates must apply separately to participating institutes. Depending on the programme, institutes may conduct portfolio assessments, design tests, interviews or other admission rounds before offering seats.
How to Apply
- Visit the official CEED portal at ceed.iitb.ac.in and open the CEED 2027 registration page.
- Create an account using a valid email address and mobile number. Candidates should retain their login credentials until the admission process is complete.
- Log in and enter personal information, communication details, category, educational qualifications and preferred examination cities.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format. These may include a recent photograph, signature, degree or diploma certificate, category certificate and disability certificate, where applicable.
- Review all entries carefully, particularly the candidate's name, date of birth, category and qualification details. Incorrect information may affect candidature or admission.
- Pay the applicable application fee through the available online payment method. Candidates applying after the regular deadline must also pay the late fee.
