The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the State Service Mains Result 2026 for recruitment to 238 vacancies across various state government departments. Candidates who appeared in the written examination can download the merit list from the official portal and check their roll numbers for the interview and personality test stage.

The result PDF contains the details of candidates provisionally shortlisted for the next phase. Individual scorecards and the detailed interview schedule may be issued separately through candidate login and official notices.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates were required to possess a bachelor’s degree from a university established by law or an equivalent qualification recognized by the competent authority.
  • Applicants holding professional or technical qualifications recognized as equivalent to a degree were also eligible, subject to the recruitment rules.
  • Candidates must produce their original degree certificate, mark sheets and other educational records during document verification.
  • Eligibility is determined with reference to the conditions and cut-off date specified in the detailed State Service Examination notification.

Age Limit

  • The general minimum age requirement was 21 years.
  • The standard upper age limit varies by service and candidate category under CGPSC rules.
  • Chhattisgarh domicile candidates may receive the applicable state-level age concession, while reserved-category applicants are entitled to relaxation under government norms.

Fees

  • Eligible candidates domiciled in Chhattisgarh were not required to pay an examination fee, subject to the notified conditions.
  • Candidates from outside Chhattisgarh were generally required to pay Rs 400 as the examination fee.

Selection Process

The CGPSC State Service selection procedure consists of the following stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: An objective-type screening examination used to shortlist candidates for the main examination. Preliminary marks are generally not included in the final merit calculation.
  2. Main Examination: A descriptive written examination covering compulsory and subject-specific papers. Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying and cut-off marks to reach the interview stage.
  3. Interview and Personality Test: Mains-qualified candidates are called for document verification and an interview. Final selection is based on the applicable mains and interview marks, category-wise merit, preferences and vacancy availability.

Shortlisting in the mains result is provisional. A candidate may be disqualified if the required eligibility, category, domicile or educational documents are not produced during verification.

How to Apply

The original online application period has closed. Candidates shortlisted in the mains result should now complete the post-result formalities by following these practical steps:

  1. Visit the official CGPSC website at psc.cg.gov.in.
  2. Open the results section and select the link titled State Service Main Examination Result 2026.
  3. Download the merit-list PDF and search for the roll number using the PDF search function.
  4. Log in to the candidate portal with the registered email address or mobile number and password to check whether an individual scorecard has been made available.
  5. Download the result, scorecard and interview call letter, when released, and retain clear printed copies.
  6. Complete any detailed application or interview information form within the deadline mentioned by the commission.
  7. Keep original certificates and self-attested copies of educational qualifications, age proof, caste or category certificate, domicile certificate, photographs and valid photo identification ready for verification.

Candidates must not treat inclusion in the result PDF as a final appointment. Final candidature remains subject to verification, interview performance, medical standards where applicable and fulfilment of all service rules.
