Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation or Class 10 from a recognised board.
  • A valid driving licence for a light motor vehicle is required.
  • Applicants should have at least two years of relevant driving experience.
  • Candidates must be capable of driving safely and should possess practical knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance and traffic regulations.
  • Original educational, experience and driving-licence documents may be checked during the recruitment process.

Age Limit

  • The prescribed minimum age is 18 years.
  • The general upper age limit is 27 years, calculated with reference to the cut-off date stated in the recruitment notice.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under applicable government and Delhi High Court rules.
  • Candidates claiming relaxation must produce valid category certificates in the prescribed format.

Fees

  • General, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates: ₹1,000.
  • SC and ST candidates: ₹800.
  • The application fee is generally non-refundable after successful payment.
  • Any bank or payment-gateway charges are payable separately by the applicant.

Selection Process

  1. Stage-I Written Examination: Candidates first undergo an objective or written examination covering relevant aptitude, general awareness, traffic rules, vehicle knowledge and related subjects.
  2. Stage-II Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates must demonstrate practical driving ability, road awareness, vehicle control, parking skills and basic knowledge of automobile maintenance. The released admit card is for this stage.
  3. Stage-III Interview and Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in the skill test may be called for an interview and verification of eligibility, driving licence, experience, category and educational documents before final appointment.

Merely downloading an admit card does not confirm final eligibility. The candidature remains provisional until all documents and recruitment conditions are verified.
