Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board on or before the prescribed eligibility date.
- Educational relaxation, where applicable to specified categories such as certain serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel’s children, will be governed by the detailed recruitment rules.
- Male candidates must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle driving licence for motorcycle or car by the date of the physical test. A learner’s licence is not treated as valid.
- Candidates called for document verification must produce original Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, category certificates and other eligibility records.
Age Limit
- The standard age requirement is 18 to 25 years, calculated on the cut-off date given in the recruitment notification.
- SC and ST candidates are generally eligible for an upper-age relaxation of five years.
- OBC candidates are generally eligible for an upper-age relaxation of three years.
- Additional relaxation for eligible sportspersons, ex-servicemen and other notified categories will apply under government rules.

Selection Process
- Computer-Based Examination: Applicants first appear for an objective computer-based test covering general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability and computer fundamentals.
