Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Constable (Executive): Candidates must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognised board.
  • Constable (Driver): Must have passed Class 10th along with a valid heavy/light motor vehicle driving licence and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • Head Constable: Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognised board or equivalent.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years (as of the cut-off date).
  • Maximum Age: 25 years for General category.
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and additional relaxation for ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per government norms.

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100 (application fee).

Selection Process

The selection procedure consists of multiple stages that candidates must qualify in sequence:

  1. Written Examination — An objective-type test covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English/Hindi. Candidates who clear the cut-off advance to the next stage.
  2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) — Begins 25 July 2026. This includes a race (1600 metres) to be completed in a specified time, and measurement of height and chest standards as per the category. Candidates failing to meet the standards are disqualified here.
  3. Document Verification & Medical Examination — Shortlisted candidates will have their original certificates scrutinised, followed by a medical fitness test to ascertain visual acuity, physical health, and overall fitness.
