Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related branches from a recognized university.
• Diploma Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in Engineering in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or allied streams.
• ITI Apprentice: ITI certificate in trades such as Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Machinist, or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) from a recognized institute.
• Candidates who have completed their qualification within the last three years (i.e., 2023, 2024, or 2025) are generally preferred for apprenticeship.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years (as of the last date of application)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their qualifying examination (B.E./B.Tech/Diploma/ITI).
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents and certificates at the DRDO SSPL office.
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must clear the standard medical fitness test as prescribed by the Apprenticeship Rules before final appointment.

The final selection list will be prepared based on the combined performance in the above stages.
