Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
  • Applicants should meet any department-specific requirements prescribed for the ASO post, including computer knowledge or proficiency where applicable.
  • The required qualification must have been obtained by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed recruitment notification.

Age Limit

  • The general age limit is 18 to 30 years, subject to the conditions prescribed for the relevant department and post code.

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹100.
  • Women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen candidates: Exempted, subject to notification conditions.

Selection Process

  1. Tier-I Computer-Based Examination: Candidates must appear for an objective-type test covering the subjects and syllabus prescribed by DSSSB. Performance in this stage is used for shortlisting as per the recruitment rules.
  2. Tier-II Examination or Skill Requirement: Shortlisted candidates may be required to take the second-stage examination and satisfy any post-specific computer or typing requirements, where applicable.
  3. Document Verification and Final Selection: Candidates qualifying in the required stages will be called for verification of educational, category, age and other supporting documents before final appointment.

  1. Visit the official DSSSB website at dsssb.delhi.gov.in and open the recruitment or online application section.
  2. Complete one-time registration using a valid email address, mobile number and personal information. Candidates who have already registered should use their existing credentials.
  3. Select the Assistant Section Officer recruitment advertisement and enter the required educational, category and communication details.
  4. Upload a recent photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format, pay the applicable fee and submit the form. The application window for this recruitment has already closed.
  5. To download the DSSSB ASO Admit Card 2026, open the admit card link once activated and log in with the application number and password or date of birth.
  6. Check the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, examination date, shift and centre address before printing the hall ticket. Any discrepancy should be reported to DSSSB promptly.
