Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Assistant District Attorney: A degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university, along with 3 years of practice experience at the Bar.
  • Superintendent Legal: A graduate degree from a recognized university, preferably in Law, with experience in legal/secretarial work.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 25 years (for ADA) and 21 years (for Superintendent Legal).
  • Maximum age: 42 years for General category candidates.
  • Age relaxation applicable as per Haryana Government rules — 5 years for SC/BC/EWS and 10 years for PwD candidates.
  • Age is calculated as of the last date of application submission.

Application Fees

  • General / Other State (UR): ₹1,000
  • Haryana SC / BC / EWS: ₹250
  • PwD / Female candidates of Haryana: Nil
  • Payment accepted online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination (Screening Test): A computer-based or OMR-based objective test covering legal aptitude, general knowledge of Haryana, and reasoning ability.
  2. Main Examination / Descriptive Test: For candidates qualifying the screening stage, a conventional (written) exam tests legal drafting, procedural law, and substantive law.
  3. Interview / Viva-Voce: Shortlisted candidates appear before a board to assess professional competence, personality, and suitability for the role. Final merit is prepared by combining all stages.

How to Download HPSC ADA & Superintendent Legal Admit Card 2026

Follow these simple steps to download your hall ticket:

  1. Visit the official website — hpsc.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the link "Admit Card" available in the menu bar.
  3. Locate and click "Download Admit Card for ADA & Superintendent Legal (Advt. 119/2024)".
  4. A new page will open; enter your Application Number/Registration Number and Date of Birth/Password.
  5. Click the "Submit/Download" button.
  6. Your admit card will appear on screen — verify all details and download the PDF. Take a printout for the exam day.

Important: Carry a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID) to the exam centre. The hall ticket must be printed in colour, and candidates arriving without it will not be permitted to write the exam.
