Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should possess a BE/BTech degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution.
- Applicants for Senior Manager are required to have the prescribed post-qualification experience in civil construction, infrastructure development, industrial-area development or a related field.
- Candidates applying for Manager (IA) must meet the relevant experience requirement specified in Advertisement No. 9/2026.
- Knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to the Matriculation level, or as a subject in higher education, may be required under Haryana government service rules.
- Applicants should verify the required marks, experience period and equivalence provisions in the post-specific advertisement before applying.
Age Limit
- The normal age range is expected to be 18 to 42 years as on the cut-off date given in the recruitment advertisement.
- Upper-age relaxation will be available to eligible SC, BC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other reserved-category candidates under Haryana government rules.

Fees

Selection Process
- Screening Test, if required: HPSC may conduct a screening examination when the number of eligible applicants is high. Its syllabus, format and shortlisting criteria will be notified separately.
- Subject Knowledge Test: The principal written examination will carry 150 marks and is expected to be conducted over three hours. Candidates must ordinarily obtain at least 35% marks to qualify. The test carries 87.5% weightage in the final selection process. Major Civil Engineering areas include building materials, surveying, structural engineering, RCC and steel structures, geotechnical engineering, transportation, environmental engineering, hydrology, estimation, contracts and construction planning.
- Interview and document verification: Candidates shortlisted from the Subject Knowledge Test will be called for an interview, carrying 12.5% weightage. Original certificates relating to education, age, category and experience will also be verified before appointment.
Candidates should prepare from degree-level Civil Engineering material while giving additional attention to industrial infrastructure, project execution, quality control, tendering, contract management and public works procedures.
