Selection Process
The IBPS PO/MT-XVI recruitment process is expected to consist of the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination: An online objective test generally covering English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must clear the prescribed sectional and overall cut-offs.
- Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates take the online main examination, which normally includes objective sections and a descriptive English test.
- Interview and Final Allotment: Candidates qualifying in the main examination are called for an interview. Final selection is based on the prescribed weightage of main examination and interview marks, followed by provisional allotment and document verification.
The Pre-Examination Training is not part of the merit-based selection process. Attendance in PET does not provide any additional marks or guarantee qualification in the preliminary examination.
