Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates should have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate confirming that they were graduates on the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed notification.
  • The percentage entered in the online application should be calculated in accordance with the rules followed by the candidate’s university or institution.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in the applicable local language may be relevant at the participating bank’s appointment stage.

Age Limit

  • The standard age requirement for IBPS PO recruitment is generally 20 to 30 years as on the cut-off date stated in the notification.
  • Relaxation is normally available to eligible reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and specified ex-servicemen, under government rules.

Fees

  • SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Generally ₹175, inclusive of intimation charges.
  • All other candidates: Generally ₹850, inclusive of application and intimation charges.

Selection Process

The IBPS PO/MT-XVI recruitment process is expected to include the following stages:

  2. Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates appear for an online main examination comprising objective and descriptive components. The detailed test pattern will be provided in the recruitment notification or information handout.

  4. Click the preliminary examination call letter or online preliminary exam admit card link.
  5. Enter the registration number or roll number and password or date of birth in the login window.
  6. Complete the security verification and submit the details.
  7. Check the candidate’s name, photograph, examination date, reporting time, venue and instructions before downloading the admit card.
  8. Print a clear copy of the call letter and keep an additional copy for reference.

Candidates must carry the printed admit card, a valid original photo identity document and any other item specified in the call letter. They should reach the venue before the reporting time, as late entry may not be permitted. Any discrepancy in personal details should be reported through the official IBPS candidate support channel without delay.
