MCC counselling generally covers 15% All India Quota seats, along with eligible seats in central universities, deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and other participating institutions under the notified counselling framework. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and obtained the required category-wise qualifying percentile or score.
  • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, as prescribed under the applicable admission regulations.
  • Candidates must satisfy the course-specific eligibility conditions for MBBS, BDS or any other programme included in MCC counselling.
  • Indian nationals, Non-Resident Indians, Overseas Citizens of India and other permitted categories must submit the documents applicable to their candidature.
  • Eligibility for particular quotas or institutions will depend on nationality, category, domicile and institutional rules mentioned in the official bulletin.

Age Limit

  • The candidate should ordinarily have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.
  • Any upper-age condition will be governed by the prevailing NEET UG and regulatory rules for the 2026 admission session.
  • Date of birth recorded in the Class 10 certificate or another accepted official document should match the counselling application.

Fees

  • Candidates must pay the prescribed non-refundable registration fee during online registration.
  • A refundable security deposit may also apply, depending on the candidate’s category and whether choices include All India Quota, central or deemed university seats.
  • The final 2026 fee structure will be displayed in the counselling bulletin and payment portal.
  • Bank, payment gateway or transaction charges may be payable separately.

Selection Process

  1. NEET UG qualification: Candidates must qualify the entrance examination and meet the applicable cut-off for their category.
  2. Registration and choice filling: Eligible candidates must register, pay the required fee and submit their preferred courses and colleges within the notified period.
  3. Seat allotment and reporting: MCC will allot seats based on NEET UG rank, category, choices submitted, seat availability and applicable reservation rules. Allotted candidates must complete reporting and document verification as instructed.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in and select the UG Medical Counselling section.
  2. Open the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration link after it becomes active.
  3. Enter the NEET UG roll number, application number, date of birth and other requested details carefully.
  4. Generate the counselling login credentials and retain the password and security information securely.
  5. Complete the registration form using details that match the NEET UG application and supporting certificates.
  6. Pay the registration fee and security deposit through the available online payment method. Download the payment receipt.
  7. Open the choice-filling facility and arrange preferred colleges and courses in the desired order.
  8. Review all selections before locking the choices. Save or print the locked-choice page for reference.
  9. Check the Round 1 allotment result and download the allotment letter if a seat is assigned.
  10. Report online or at the allotted institution within the deadline with the required original documents, photographs, certificates and admission fee.

Candidates should keep their NEET UG scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 certificates, identity proof, category certificate, disability certificate and nationality-related documents ready, wherever applicable.
