Candidates should check the deadline printed on their allotment letter for online seat acceptance and physical or online reporting to the allotted college. Failure to complete the formalities within the prescribed window may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
  • Candidates should have secured the minimum aggregate marks prescribed for their category under the MH CET Law admission rules.
  • The usual qualifying thresholds are 45% for Open, EWS and applicable outside-Maharashtra candidates, 42% for eligible Maharashtra OBC, VJ/DT, NT and SBC candidates, and 40% for Maharashtra SC and ST candidates.
  • Candidates must satisfy the CET, domicile, candidature type and document requirements stated in the 2026 admission brochure.
  • Those whose graduation results were pending during registration must produce proof of passing at the document-verification stage.

Age Limit

  • There is generally no upper age limit for admission to the 3-year LLB programme.
  • Admission remains subject to prevailing government, university, Bar Council and court directions.
  • Candidates must meet all other academic and nationality conditions prescribed for the programme.

Fees

  • Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee, if applicable, through the payment facility available in their login.
  • The payable amount and transaction deadline will be displayed on the candidate dashboard or allotment letter.
  • College tuition, examination, development and other institutional charges must be paid separately at the allotted institute.
  • Candidates should download and retain the online payment receipt for verification.

Selection Process

  1. Entrance examination and merit preparation: Candidates are considered on the basis of their MH CET Law score, candidature type, category and applicable reservation rules.
  2. CAP option and seat allotment: Seats are assigned using the candidate’s merit position, submitted college preferences and availability in the Round 1 seat matrix.
  3. Acceptance and document verification: Allotted candidates must select Freeze or Betterment, complete payment where required and report to the college with original documents. Final admission is confirmed only after successful verification.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official 3-year LLB CAP portal at llb3cap26.mahacet.org.
  2. Open the candidate login section and enter the registered application ID, password or other requested credentials.
  3. Select the CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment Result option to view the allotted college, course and category.
  4. Download and print the provisional allotment letter. Verify all personal, category and institute details carefully.
  5. Choose Freeze if satisfied with the allotted seat and unwilling to participate in subsequent betterment rounds. Choose Betterment if permitted and if seeking a higher-preference allotment in a later round.
  6. Pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee online, if shown in the login, and save the receipt.
  7. Report to the allotted institute within the deadline mentioned in the CAP schedule or allotment letter.
  8. Carry the allotment letter, CET scorecard, CAP application form, photo identity proof, SSC and HSC certificates, graduation mark sheets and degree certificate.
  9. Candidates claiming reservation should also carry the caste certificate, caste validity certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, EWS certificate, domicile certificate or other applicable documents.
  10. Obtain an admission acknowledgement from the college after verification and fee payment. Candidates selecting Betterment should monitor the portal for subsequent-round updates.
