The PET schedule has been released for the 2026 physical test stage. Since physical test dates and venues may differ for individual candidates, applicants should rely on the schedule or call letter available through their login rather than assuming a common test date.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates were required to have passed the Class 10 or High School examination from a recognized board.
  • The qualification had to be completed by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed recruitment rules.
  • Candidates appearing for the PET must produce original educational certificates during document verification if instructed.
  • Applicants must also satisfy the post-specific physical standards prescribed for Van Rakshak, Kshetra Rakshak or Jail Prahari.

Age Limit

  • The general minimum age prescribed for the recruitment was 18 years.
  • The upper age limit was generally 33 years, calculated with reference to the date stated in the original notification.
  • Age relaxation applies to eligible Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, women, ex-servicemen and other reserved categories under Madhya Pradesh government rules.
  • Candidates must carry proof of date of birth and category certificates in the prescribed format.

Fees

  • General and candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh: ₹500 per paper.
  • SC, ST, OBC and eligible EWS candidates domiciled in Madhya Pradesh: ₹250 per paper.
  • MP Online or portal service charges were payable separately, wherever applicable.
  • No new application fee is required merely to view the PET schedule unless an official notice specifically provides otherwise.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Applicants first appeared in the computer-based recruitment examination conducted by MPESB. The written test assessed candidates on the syllabus and pattern prescribed for the respective posts.
  2. Physical Standard and Efficiency Test: Shortlisted candidates must undergo post-specific physical measurements and endurance events. Failure to meet the required standard may result in disqualification, irrespective of written examination marks.
  3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates clearing the physical stage will be called for verification of original certificates and a medical fitness assessment before final appointment.

Candidates should note that the PET is generally qualifying in nature, but participation and successful completion are mandatory for further consideration.
