Selection Process
- Phase 1 Preliminary Examination: An online screening test covering English language, reasoning ability and quantitative aptitude. Candidates must clear the prescribed sectional and overall cutoffs.
- Phase 2 Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates appear for an objective test and descriptive paper. The paper structure may vary between Generalist and Hindi Officer posts.
- Interview and Final Selection: Candidates qualifying in the main examination are called for an interview. Final merit is prepared using the applicable weightage of the main examination and interview, followed by document verification and medical requirements.
The Phase 1 cutoff is used to shortlist candidates for the main examination. Phase 2 cutoff marks determine eligibility for the interview, while final selection depends on the combined merit criteria prescribed by OICL.
