Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks from a recognised board. The minimum is 50% marks for SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates.
- Applicants holding a graduation degree from a recognised university are also eligible.
- Candidates must have passed English as a subject at the SSC, HSC, intermediate or graduation level.
- Knowledge of the regional language of the state or Union Territory applied for is mandatory.

Age Limit
- The normal age limit is 21 to 30 years as of the prescribed cut-off date.

- Reasoning: Coding-decoding, inequalities, syllogism, puzzles, seating arrangements, blood relations, direction sense, ranking, data sufficiency and input-output.

- Numerical Ability: Simplification, number series, percentages, averages, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, time and work, time and distance, interest and data interpretation.

Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination: A qualifying online test assessing English, reasoning and numerical ability.
- Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates take the objective main examination, whose scores are considered for merit.
- Regional Language Test: Candidates shortlisted after the main examination must demonstrate proficiency in the relevant regional language. This stage is qualifying in nature.
