Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants were required to satisfy the prescribed academic and professional conditions for the Veterinary Officer post. The principal requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a university or institution recognised under the applicable veterinary education regulations.
  • Registration with the relevant veterinary council, wherever required under the service rules.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
  • Knowledge of Rajasthan’s culture and traditions.
  • Candidates must produce original degree certificates, mark sheets and registration documents during verification.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 20 years.
  • Maximum age: 40 years.
  • The prescribed cut-off date for calculating age is governed by the detailed recruitment notification.
  • Upper-age relaxation is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, women, persons with benchmark disabilities and other eligible categories under Rajasthan government rules.
  • Date of birth entered in the application must match the candidate’s matriculation or equivalent certificate.

Fees

  • General category, creamy-layer candidates and applicants from outside Rajasthan: ₹600.
  • Rajasthan SC, ST, OBC non-creamy layer, MBC, EWS and eligible persons with disabilities: ₹400.
  • Application correction fee, where applicable: ₹500.
  • Candidates who have already paid the applicable One-Time Registration fee should follow the payment status displayed on the recruitment portal.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Eligible applicants appear for the objective or prescribed competitive examination conducted by RPSC. Performance in this stage is used to prepare the shortlist and determine cut-off marks.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original educational, identity, category, age and veterinary registration certificates. Failure to establish eligibility may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  3. Final Merit and Appointment: The final merit list is prepared after verification and completion of other prescribed formalities, including a medical examination where applicable. Appointment remains subject to vacancy allocation and service rules.

  1. Visit the RPSC website at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and open the recruitment or online application section.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration through the Rajasthan Single Sign-On portal using a valid mobile number, email address and identity details.
  3. Select the Veterinary Officer recruitment advertisement and carefully review the eligibility conditions, reservation provisions and document requirements.
  4. Enter personal, educational and professional registration details exactly as recorded in the supporting certificates.
  5. Upload a recent photograph, signature and other required documents in the specified file format and size.
  6. Pay the applicable application fee online and submit the form before the deadline. Save the final application number and a PDF copy for future use.
  7. To check the result, open the Results section on the RPSC portal, select the Veterinary Officer result notice and download the merit-list PDF. Search the document using the roll number rather than the candidate’s name alone.
  8. Candidates shortlisted in the result should download the detailed verification schedule and arrange original documents along with self-attested photocopies.
