Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants were required to meet the prescribed qualification by the cut-off date specified in CEN 09/2025. The accepted qualifications generally include:
- Class 10 pass from a recognised board; or
- ITI qualification from an institution recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training; or
- National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT, where applicable.
- Candidates must possess the relevant certificate before the eligibility cut-off date. Those awaiting final results are not ordinarily eligible unless specifically permitted in the detailed notification.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 33 years.

Selection Process
The RRB Group D recruitment process consists of the following stages:
- Computer-Based Test: Candidates take an objective examination covering mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science, and general awareness/current affairs.
- Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBT performance must complete the prescribed weight-carrying and running tasks. Standards differ for male and female candidates.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: Qualified candidates are called for verification of original certificates, followed by the required railway medical fitness test before appointment.
The provisional answer key does not represent the final result. RRBs will examine valid objections before preparing the final answer key and CBT score.
