The Railway Recruitment Boards have activated the revised RRB Group D Application Status 2026 link for candidates who applied under Centralised Employment Notice CEN 08/2024. The recruitment drive aims to fill 32,438 Level 1 vacancies across various railway zones and production units. Candidates should note that the application window is already closed. The current facility is intended for checking the revised application status. Details regarding the Computer-Based Test schedule, city intimation slip and admit card will be issued separately by the respective RRBs.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • Applicants possessing an ITI certificate from an institution recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training are also eligible, subject to the post requirements.
  • Candidates holding a National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT may apply for applicable Level 1 posts.
  • The required qualification must have been completed by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed notification.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Maximum age: 36 years, including the applicable one-time relaxation provided for this recruitment cycle.
  • Age is generally calculated as of January 1, 2025, as specified in the recruitment notification.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under Government of India rules.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: Rs. 500.
  • SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, female, transgender, minority and economically backward class candidates: Rs. 250.
  • Candidates appearing in the first-stage CBT are eligible for a refund after deduction of applicable bank charges. For candidates who paid Rs. 500, Rs. 400 is refundable; reduced-fee candidates are eligible for a refund of Rs. 250.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test: Eligible candidates will take an objective examination covering mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science, and general awareness/current affairs.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates shortlisted through the CBT will be required to meet the prescribed weight-carrying and running standards. PET requirements vary for male and female candidates.
  3. Document Verification and Medical Examination: PET-qualified applicants will undergo verification of original certificates followed by the mandatory railway medical fitness examination before final appointment.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official RRB recruitment portal at rrbapply.gov.in. Since the application period has ended, applicants should use the portal primarily to check their current status.
  2. Select the login or application-status option for CEN 08/2024 Group D recruitment.
  3. Enter the registered mobile number or email address and the account password. Complete OTP verification if requested.
  4. Open the submitted application to view the revised status. The portal may display the application as provisionally accepted, accepted with conditions or rejected with a reason.
  5. Carefully review all remarks. Candidates whose forms are conditionally accepted should comply with any further instructions issued by the concerned RRB.
  6. Download or take a screenshot of the status page for future reference. Applicants should also ensure that their registered mobile number and email remain active for examination updates.
  7. Monitor the regional RRB website for the exam date, city intimation notice, e-call letter and instructions for the CBT.
