Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
- Applicants possessing an ITI certificate from an institution recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training are also eligible, subject to the post requirements.
- Candidates holding a National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT may apply for applicable Level 1 posts.
- The required qualification must have been completed by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed notification.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 36 years, including the applicable one-time relaxation provided for this recruitment cycle.
- Age is generally calculated as of January 1, 2025, as specified in the recruitment notification.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under Government of India rules.
Fees
- General, OBC and EWS candidates: Rs. 500.
- SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen, female, transgender, minority and economically backward class candidates: Rs. 250.
- Candidates appearing in the first-stage CBT are eligible for a refund after deduction of applicable bank charges. For candidates who paid Rs. 500, Rs. 400 is refundable; reduced-fee candidates are eligible for a refund of Rs. 250.
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test: Eligible candidates will take an objective examination covering mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science, and general awareness/current affairs.
- Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates shortlisted through the CBT will be required to meet the prescribed weight-carrying and running standards. PET requirements vary for male and female candidates.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: PET-qualified applicants will undergo verification of original certificates followed by the mandatory railway medical fitness examination before final appointment.

- Visit the official RRB recruitment portal at rrbapply.gov.in. Since the application period has ended, applicants should use the portal primarily to check their current status.
- Select the login or application-status option for CEN 08/2024 Group D recruitment.
- Enter the registered mobile number or email address and the account password. Complete OTP verification if requested.
- Open the submitted application to view the revised status. The portal may display the application as provisionally accepted, accepted with conditions or rejected with a reason.
- Carefully review all remarks. Candidates whose forms are conditionally accepted should comply with any further instructions issued by the concerned RRB.
- Download or take a screenshot of the status page for future reference. Applicants should also ensure that their registered mobile number and email remain active for examination updates.
