Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for RRB Group D Level 1 posts were required to satisfy the prescribed educational conditions by the closing date of application:
- Applicants must have passed Class 10/Matriculation from a recognised board.
- Candidates possessing an ITI certificate from an institution recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training were also eligible for relevant posts.
- A National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by NCVT was accepted where applicable.
- Candidates awaiting their final qualifying examination results were not treated as eligible unless permitted under the detailed notification.
Age Limit
- The minimum age requirement was generally 18 years.
- The upper age limit was 33 years, calculated with reference to the cut-off date specified in CEN 09/2025.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under central government rules.

Fees

Selection Process
The RRB Group D recruitment process is conducted in the following stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates answer objective questions covering mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science, and general awareness/current affairs.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates shortlisted through the CBT must meet the prescribed running, weight-carrying and other physical standards. The requirements differ for male and female candidates.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: PET-qualified candidates are called for verification of original certificates and a railway medical fitness examination before final appointment.
