  • Teaching posts may require a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree along with B.Ed., teacher-training credentials or other prescribed qualifications.
  • Posts involving translation, law, libraries, laboratories, publicity or staff welfare require the relevant subject-specific degree, diploma or professional qualification.
  • Stenography, typing, translation, teaching or performance-related proficiency may be required for designated posts.
  • Qualifications must be obtained from a recognized board, university or institution by the eligibility cut-off date.

Age Limit

  • The minimum age is generally 18 years.
  • The upper age limit varies by post and may range from approximately 30 to 48 years.
  • Age is calculated with reference to the date specified in CEN 08/2025.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under railway recruitment rules.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹500 application fee; the prescribed portion is refundable after appearing in the CBT.
