Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
- A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is generally required in the qualifying examination.
- The 50% condition is not insisted upon for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories, ex-servicemen, and candidates possessing qualifications higher than Class 12, subject to the recruitment notification.
- Typing proficiency is required for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist posts at the relevant skill-test stage.
Age Limit
- The prescribed age range for this recruitment is 18 to 33 years, calculated as per the cut-off date mentioned in CEN 06/2024.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit applies to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under government rules.

Selection Process
- First Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 1): Candidates are screened through an objective examination covering General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- Second Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 2): Candidates shortlisted from CBT 1 appear for a higher-level objective test. The released city slip provides advance details of the allotted examination location and date.
- Skill Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination: A typing skill test is conducted for applicable clerical posts. Shortlisted candidates must subsequently complete document verification and the prescribed railway medical fitness examination.
