Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For Technician Grade-I Signal, candidates should possess a B.Sc. degree with relevant subjects such as Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Instrumentation, or an eligible diploma/degree in engineering.
- For Technician Grade-III, candidates generally need to have passed Class 10 or Matriculation and hold an ITI certificate or completed an Act Apprenticeship in the relevant trade.
- The prescribed qualification must be obtained from a recognised board, university or institution.
- Trade-wise and post-wise qualification requirements may vary. Candidates should verify the relevant annexure in the detailed recruitment notification.
Age Limit
- Technician Grade-I Signal: Generally 18 to 33 years.
- Technician Grade-III: Generally 18 to 30 years.

- Upper-age relaxation is normally available to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under government rules.
Fees
- General and other non-concession categories: Rs. 500.
- SC, ST, PwBD, female, transgender, ex-servicemen, minority and economically backward class candidates: Rs. 250.
- Eligible candidates may receive the prescribed refund after appearing in the CBT, subject to deduction of applicable bank charges.
- Fees are payable online through the payment options provided on the application portal.
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test: Eligible applicants must appear for the CBT covering the subjects and syllabus prescribed for their respective technician post.
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBT performance will be called to produce original educational, identity, category and other supporting documents.
- Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates must satisfy the medical fitness standards applicable to the post before final appointment.
