Candidates must check the date, reporting time, examination shift and test-centre address printed on their individual admit cards. They should reach the venue well before the reporting deadline, as late entry may not be allowed.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • For Junior Engineer-I, applicants must possess a four-year full-time engineering degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university or institution. The eligible streams include Electrical, Mechanical, Control and Instrumentation/Communication, and Fire and Safety, depending on the advertised post.
  • An equivalent qualification recognised under the recruitment rules may also be accepted for the relevant engineering discipline.
  • For Junior Chemist, candidates must hold a two-year full-time postgraduate degree in Chemistry or a four-year full-time degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution.
  • Candidates must have possessed the prescribed qualification by the eligibility cut-off date mentioned in the detailed notification.

Age Limit

  • The general age range is 21 to 40 years, calculated with reference to the date specified in the recruitment notification.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, women, persons with benchmark disabilities and other eligible categories under Rajasthan government rules.
  • Applicants claiming relaxation must produce valid category and domicile documents during verification.

Fees

  • General and other unreserved candidates: Rs. 1,000.
  • SC, ST, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, EWS and PwBD candidates eligible for the concessional rate: Rs. 500.
  • Bank or online payment transaction charges may apply separately.
  • The application fee was payable online and was generally non-refundable after successful submission.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Examination: Eligible applicants must appear for the online objective test covering professional knowledge, reasoning, mathematics, general awareness and other notified subjects.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original educational certificates, identity proof, category documents and other eligibility records.
  3. Medical Examination and Final Appointment: Candidates clearing verification must satisfy the prescribed medical fitness requirements before appointment and company allocation.

The admit card is provisional and does not by itself confirm eligibility. Candidature may be cancelled if any information submitted in the application is found to be incorrect or unsupported by documents.

How to Apply

The online application window has closed. The following process was prescribed for submitting an application and can also help candidates navigate the recruitment portal:

  1. Visit the Rajasthan Energy Department website and open the Recruitment section for RVUNL and participating power companies.
  2. Select the Junior Engineer-I and Junior Chemist recruitment link and read the detailed notification carefully.
  3. Complete registration using a valid name, mobile number, email address and other basic information.
  4. Sign in with the generated registration credentials and enter personal, educational, category and communication details.
  5. Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting documents in the prescribed file size and format.
  6. Pay the applicable application fee online, review the form and submit it before the deadline.
  7. Save the completed application and fee receipt. To download the admit card, reopen the recruitment login page, enter the registration number or roll number and password/date of birth, and print the hall ticket.

Candidates should carry a clear printed copy of the admit card, an original government-issued photo identity card and any additional item specified in the examination instructions. Electronic devices, calculators, notes and prohibited material should not be taken inside the centre.
