Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Applicants possessing qualifications such as medical, engineering, chartered accountancy or cost accountancy were also eligible, subject to the detailed recruitment conditions.
  • Candidates were required to possess the prescribed experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
  • Applicants were also expected to be proficient in the local language specified for the circle selected during registration.
  • Educational and experience documents are subject to verification during the screening or interview stage.

Age Limit

  • The prescribed age range was generally 21 to 30 years as on the cut-off date stated in the detailed notification.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit was applicable to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under government rules.
  • The date of birth recorded in the matriculation or secondary school certificate is normally treated as final for age verification.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹750
  • SC, ST and PwBD candidates: No application fee
  • Bank transaction or payment gateway charges, where applicable, were payable separately.
  • Fees once submitted were generally non-refundable and could not be adjusted against another recruitment exercise.

Selection Process

  1. Online Examination: Candidates appeared for an objective test covering areas such as English language, banking knowledge, general awareness or economy, and computer aptitude. A descriptive test was also conducted as prescribed.
  2. Screening and Local Language Verification: Applications, experience certificates and other eligibility records were examined. Candidates could also be required to demonstrate proficiency in the selected circle's local language unless exempt under the rules.
  3. Interview and Final Merit List: Shortlisted candidates attended the interview. Final selection was determined using the prescribed weightage of the online examination and interview, subject to qualifying standards and document verification.

The final scorecard helps candidates understand the marks considered during the merit preparation process. Sectional scores and cut-off details should be read carefully, as merely appearing for every selection stage does not guarantee appointment.
