Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- Candidates must meet the qualification cut-off date prescribed in the detailed recruitment notification.
- Applicants should be able to read, write, speak and understand the specified local language of the state or Union Territory for which they applied.
- Documentary proof of graduation and local-language eligibility may be checked during the recruitment process.
Age Limit
- The standard age requirement is generally 20 to 28 years, calculated on the cut-off date specified in the detailed advertisement.
- Upper-age relaxation applies to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under government and SBI rules.
- Candidates must produce valid category or service certificates to claim age relaxation.

Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination: An online objective test assessing English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. PET is only a preparatory facility and does not carry selection marks.
- Main Examination: Candidates qualifying in the preliminary examination are called for the online main test covering financial awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning and computer aptitude.
- Local Language Test and Final Selection: Candidates who cannot provide accepted proof of having studied the specified local language may have to take a language proficiency test. Final selection is subject to merit, eligibility verification and medical fitness.
How to Apply
The recruitment application process is separate from the PET hall-ticket download. Candidates who have already applied and opted for PET can obtain their call letters by following these steps:

- Find the Junior Associate recruitment entry and click the PET call-letter link.
- Enter the registration number or roll number and password or date of birth.
- Complete the security verification and submit the login details.
- Check the candidate's name, photograph, PET centre, date and reporting time displayed on the admit card.
- Download the hall ticket and take a clear printout for use at the training centre.
Candidates should carry the printed PET admit card, an original valid photo identity document and a photocopy of the same ID. Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport or driving licence may be accepted, subject to the call-letter instructions. They should reach the venue before the stated reporting time and avoid carrying electronic devices, calculators, study material or other prohibited items.
Any mismatch in the candidate's name, photograph, category or centre details should be reported through the official SBI recruitment help channel before the PET date. The bank may not allow a change of centre merely on personal grounds.
