  • Applicants with professional qualifications recognised as equivalent to graduation may also be eligible, subject to the detailed notification.
  • Final-year or final-semester students may apply provisionally when permitted, but they must provide proof of passing graduation by the prescribed cutoff date.
  • Candidates must enter the correct graduation date and marks while applying, as their documents will be checked at a later stage.

Age Limit

  • The usual minimum age for SBI PO recruitment is 21 years.
  • The usual upper age limit is 30 years, calculated on the cutoff date stated in the recruitment advertisement.
  • Upper-age relaxation is generally available to eligible reserved categories under government rules, including five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC-NCL candidates.
  • PwBD candidates, eligible ex-servicemen and other notified categories may receive additional relaxation as specified in the official notification.

Fees

  • The category-wise application fee is not provided in the scorecard release.
  • Candidates should refer to the detailed SBI PO advertisement for the applicable fee and payment instructions.
  • Once paid, an application fee is generally non-refundable and cannot be reserved for another recruitment exercise.
  • No payment is required merely to view or download the preliminary examination scorecard.

Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Examination: An online objective examination used to shortlist candidates for the next stage. Preliminary marks are normally qualifying in nature and are not added to the final merit score.
  2. Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates take an online main examination comprising objective and descriptive components, as prescribed by SBI.
  3. Phase III and Final Selection: Candidates qualifying the main examination are called for further assessment, which may include a psychometric test, group exercise and interview. Final selection is based on the marks and qualifying conditions specified in the recruitment notification.
