The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Cut Off 2026 along with the final result and category-wise qualifying details on its official portal. The Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level examination is being conducted to fill approximately 3,131 vacancies for Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator posts across central government departments.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • For LDC and JSA posts, candidates from any recognised Class 12 stream are generally eligible.
  • For specified Data Entry Operator posts, applicants may be required to have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
  • The prescribed qualification must have been obtained by the eligibility cut-off date mentioned in the detailed SSC CHSL notification.
  • Candidates must produce original educational certificates during document verification or when requested by the allotted department.

Age Limit

  • The standard age requirement is 18 to 27 years, calculated on the cut-off date specified by SSC.
  • Candidates must have been born within the date range given in the detailed recruitment notice.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under central government rules.
  • Date of birth recorded in the matriculation or secondary school certificate is normally accepted as proof of age.

Fees

  • Application fee: ₹100.
  • Women candidates and applicants belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen categories are exempt from paying the fee.
  • Payment can be made online through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking within the prescribed deadline.
  • Fees once paid are generally not refunded or adjusted against another examination.

Selection Process

  1. Tier 1 Examination: Candidates take a computer-based objective examination covering English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Tier 1 performance is used to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
  2. Tier 2 Examination: Shortlisted candidates appear for the second-stage examination, which includes objective modules and qualifying skill or typing tests applicable to the selected post. Candidates must clear both sectional and overall qualifying requirements.
  3. Final Merit and Document Verification: Final selection is determined through merit, category-wise cut-offs, post preferences and vacancy position. Selected candidates undergo document verification by the user department before appointment.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the SSC portal at ssc.gov.in and open the login or registration section.
  2. Complete the One-Time Registration process using an active mobile number, email address, Aadhaar details or another accepted identity document.
  3. Log in and select the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination from the live examination section.
  4. Enter personal, educational, category and communication details carefully. Ensure that the name and date of birth match the Class 10 certificate.
  5. Upload the live photograph, signature and other documents in the required format. Candidates should check image clarity before proceeding.
  6. Select preferred examination centres and submit post or department preferences wherever the application form permits.
  7. Pay the application fee, if applicable, and submit the form before the deadline. Save the confirmation page for future reference.
  8. Since the application window for this recruitment cycle has closed, registered candidates should use their SSC login to check the result, marks and cut-off notice when released.
