Selection Process
- Computer-Based Examination: Candidates first appeared for an objective online test covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. The result PDF contains the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted on the basis of normalized marks and applicable bonus marks.
- PET and PST: The 1,97,408 shortlisted candidates must undergo the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test. These stages assess running performance and prescribed physical measurements, including height and chest standards where applicable. PET/PST is qualifying in nature.
- Medical Examination and Document Verification: Candidates who clear the physical stages will be called for a Detailed Medical Examination, Review Medical Examination where applicable, and verification of original educational, category, domicile and identity documents. Final allocation will depend on merit, vacancies, force preference and eligibility.
The cut-off marks may differ by category, gender, state or Union Territory, border or Naxal-affected area classification, and available vacancies. Candidates should therefore consult the relevant cut-off tables attached to the official result write-up rather than relying only on an overall score.
