Selection Process
- Paper I: A computer-based objective examination covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and the relevant engineering discipline.

- Final Merit and Document Verification: Final selection is based on performance in the prescribed papers, applicable cut-offs, category, post preference and verification of original documents. Medical or departmental suitability requirements may also apply after allocation.
SSC may prepare separate category-wise and discipline-wise cut-offs. Inclusion in an examination-stage result does not automatically guarantee appointment unless all eligibility and verification requirements are satisfied.
