Educational Qualification

• Candidates should possess a master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or a master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject.
• Other prescribed combinations include a master’s degree in any subject with Hindi or English as the medium of examination, provided the other language was studied as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.
• A recognised diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa may be required for certain posts.
• Where specified, candidates may qualify through relevant translation experience in a central or state government office, subject to the conditions in the detailed notification.
