Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • The degree should generally include an eligible subject such as Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Zoology.
  • Candidates possessing an eligible bachelor’s degree in Engineering may also qualify, subject to the post-wise conditions stated in the detailed recruitment notification.
  • Applicants must produce their degree certificates, mark sheets and other supporting documents during verification.
  • Candidates whose qualifications do not match the notified subject or degree requirements may be disqualified even if their roll number appears in an examination result.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Maximum age: 42 years, calculated on the cut-off date specified by UKPSC.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to Uttarakhand SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities and other eligible categories under state government rules.
  • Date of birth must be supported by a Class 10 certificate or another document accepted by the commission.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: approximately ₹172.30.
  • SC and ST candidates of Uttarakhand: approximately ₹82.30.
  • Persons with disabilities: approximately ₹22.30.
  • Any exemption or additional processing charge is governed by the original notification. The application fee already paid is generally non-refundable.

Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Examination: An objective screening test is used to shortlist candidates for the main examination. Preliminary marks are ordinarily considered for screening as prescribed in the examination rules.
