The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is conducting the physical-stage recruitment process for 41,424 Home Guard Volunteer posts in the state. The board may issue the DV/PST/PET programme separately for different districts, registration numbers or examination centres. Candidates must rely on the date, shift and reporting time printed on their individual admit cards.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • The required qualification should have been completed by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the detailed recruitment notification.
  • Applicants called for document verification must produce their original marksheet and passing certificate.
  • Any discrepancy between the online application and original educational records may lead to cancellation of candidature.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Maximum age: 30 years, subject to the cut-off date prescribed in the recruitment notification.
  • Age relaxation is applicable to reserved-category candidates in accordance with Uttar Pradesh government rules.
  • Candidates should carry an original Class 10 certificate or another accepted document as proof of date of birth during verification.

Fees

  • General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹400.
  • SC and ST candidates: ₹300.
  • Payment was required through the online facilities provided with the application form.
  • Applicants should retain the transaction receipt or final application printout for future reference.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Eligible applicants must appear for the written test on the dates notified by UPPRPB. Performance in this stage will determine shortlisting for subsequent recruitment stages.
  2. Document Verification and Physical Standard Test: Shortlisted candidates will have their educational, identity, category and domicile documents verified. Their height, chest and other applicable physical measurements will also be checked against the prescribed standards.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test and Final Selection: Candidates meeting the document and physical-standard requirements will participate in the PET. Final selection will be subject to qualifying all stages, merit, medical fitness, character verification and availability of vacancies.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the UPPRPB website at uppbpb.gov.in and open the Home Guard recruitment section.
  2. Select the relevant Home Guard Volunteer recruitment notice and read the eligibility conditions, district-wise vacancy details and instructions.
  3. Complete the required registration or One-Time Registration process using an active mobile number and email address.
  4. Fill in personal, educational, category and address details exactly as recorded in the supporting documents.
  5. Upload the photograph, signature and required certificates in the prescribed file size and format.
  6. Pay the applicable application fee online, review the completed form and submit it before the deadline.
  7. Download the confirmation page and keep a printed copy, registration number and payment receipt until the recruitment process is completed.
  8. As the application window has closed, registered candidates should now use the admit card or candidate login link when activated. They must verify the test centre, reporting time and instructions before attending DV/PST/PET.

Candidates should not wait until the test day to identify errors on the admit card. Any issue involving the name, photograph, category or date of birth should be reported through the official helpdesk within the permitted period.
