Overview
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued an update concerning the revised Physical Efficiency Test (PET) schedule for UP Police Home Guard Recruitment 2026. The recruitment drive aims to fill 41,424 Home Guard posts across Uttar Pradesh, and registered candidates should check their revised test date, reporting time and centre through the official portal.
The PET schedule may be issued candidate-wise or district-wise. Applicants should therefore rely on the date printed on their latest notice or admit card rather than an earlier timetable.

Selection Process
- Written Examination: Candidates are assessed through an objective examination conducted under the notified recruitment rules. Performance in this stage determines eligibility for subsequent rounds.
- Physical Tests: Shortlisted candidates must appear for the Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test. The PET evaluates fitness through the prescribed running or endurance standards, while physical measurements are checked separately where applicable.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates clearing the physical stages are called for verification of original certificates and a medical fitness examination. Final selection is subject to merit, eligibility, category certificates and character verification.
Merely appearing in the revised PET does not guarantee selection. Candidates must qualify at every applicable stage and meet all prescribed standards.
