Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants were required to possess the prescribed town planning qualification by the closing date of the application process. The essential qualification generally included:

  • A degree or postgraduate diploma in Town and Country Planning from a recognised university or institution.
  • Candidates holding an equivalent qualification recognised by the government were also eligible, subject to the conditions stated in the detailed notification.

Selection Process

The UPPSC Assistant Town Planner recruitment process is conducted in successive stages. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions at every stage.

  1. Preliminary Examination: An objective-type screening examination used to shortlist candidates for the next stage. The result now released identifies candidates provisionally qualified through this stage.
  2. Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the main written examination in accordance with the syllabus, timetable and instructions issued by UPPSC.

  5. Upload the photograph, signature and supporting documents in the specified format and file size.

  7. Download the final application form and fee receipt for future reference.
