Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For the Indian Economic Service, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics or Econometrics from a recognised university or institution.
- For the Indian Statistical Service, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects.
- Applicants with a master's degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics are also eligible for ISS.
- Candidates awaiting their qualifying examination results were required to meet the conditions specified in the official notification.
Age Limit
- The usual minimum age is 21 years, while the upper age limit is 30 years, calculated as of August 1, 2026.

Selection Process
