  • Applicants awaiting final examination results should not claim eligibility unless the detailed notification expressly allows them to apply.
  • Degree certificates and marksheets must be produced during certificate verification.

Age Limit

  • The expected general age range is 18 to 42 years, subject to confirmation in the 2026 notification.
  • The crucial date for calculating age will be specified by APPSC.

  • Applicants should verify payment status before submitting the form, as unsuccessful transactions may leave the application incomplete.

Selection Process

The ASWO selection process is expected to include the following stages:

  1. Written Examination: Candidates will take an objective-type examination based on the notified syllabus. The test is expected to assess general studies and mental ability along with subject-related knowledge relevant to social welfare administration. APPSC may conduct a screening test if the number of applications exceeds the prescribed threshold.
  2. Main Examination/Merit Assessment: Candidates qualifying in the preliminary or screening stage, where applicable, will proceed to the main written examination. Final marks, paper structure, duration, negative-marking provisions and minimum qualifying standards will be confirmed in the official exam scheme.
  3. Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original educational, age, community, local status and other eligibility documents. Appointment will remain subject to verification of claims and fulfilment of service requirements.

Candidates should prepare topics covering current affairs, Indian polity, Andhra Pradesh history and economy, reasoning, social issues, welfare laws, public administration and social work principles. The exact paper-wise syllabus will prevail once published by APPSC.
