Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Engineering or Medical degrees may also be accepted, subject to the official eligibility conditions.
  • Applicants must have the prescribed post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Experience from organisations excluded under the notification will not be counted.
  • Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the state for which they have applied. Reading, writing and speaking ability may be tested during the selection process.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Maximum age: 30 years, calculated as on the cut-off date stated in the notification.
  • Upper-age relaxation is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under government rules.
  • Candidates must submit valid supporting certificates when requested by the bank.

Fees

  • General, EWS and OBC candidates: ₹850, inclusive of applicable charges.
  • SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates: ₹175, inclusive of applicable charges.
  • Bank transaction or payment gateway charges, where applicable, may be payable separately.
  • Application fees are generally non-refundable after successful payment.

Selection Process

  1. Online Examination: The test is expected to contain 120 questions for 120 marks, with a total duration of 120 minutes. Major sections include English Language, Banking Knowledge, General and Economic Awareness, and Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates should prepare for sectional timing and a possible penalty of one-fourth mark for each incorrect answer, as specified in the official instructions.
  2. Psychometric and Language Proficiency Assessment: Shortlisted candidates may undergo a psychometric assessment and a Local Language Proficiency Test. Applicants who can provide accepted evidence of studying the relevant local language may receive an exemption, subject to verification.
  3. Group Discussion and/or Interview: Candidates clearing the required stages will be called for a group discussion, personal interview or both. Final selection will depend on merit, category-wise cut-offs, document verification, medical fitness and fulfilment of all eligibility requirements.

For syllabus preparation, candidates should cover grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, banking products, RBI-related developments, financial awareness, current economic events, arithmetic, data interpretation, logical reasoning, puzzles and analytical ability.
