Selection Process

The BPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer recruitment process generally comprises the following stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: An objective-type screening test used to shortlist candidates for the next stage. The provisional answer key relates to this examination, and candidates may compare their responses with the answers published by BPSC.
  2. Main Written Examination: Candidates qualifying in the preliminary examination are called for descriptive papers covering relevant legal subjects, general studies and language components prescribed in the syllabus.
  3. Interview and Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after the main examination undergo an interview and verification of educational, identity, category and other eligibility documents before final selection.

The provisional answer key does not constitute the examination result. BPSC will examine valid objections before publishing the final answer key and preparing the preliminary result.
