Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • For Assistant and UDC posts, applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale, subject to the conditions specified in the detailed notification.
  • Candidates must possess proficiency in the use of computers. A computer literacy or proficiency test may form part of the recruitment process.
  • For Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer posts, candidates should have a recognised bachelor’s degree with the prescribed minimum marks.
  • JPA and Stenographer applicants must normally possess an English stenography speed of 60 words per minute and the required computer proficiency.
  • Qualifications must be completed by the eligibility cut-off date. Candidates awaiting final results should check whether they are eligible before applying.

Age Limit

  • The general age range for the notified posts is expected to be 18 to 28 years as on the prescribed cut-off date.
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories under Central Government rules.
  • Candidates must enter the same date of birth as recorded in their Class 10 or matriculation certificate.

Fees

  • The regular application fee is expected to be ₹100 per application, along with the processing-fee arrangement prescribed by ISRO.
  • Candidates may initially be required to pay ₹500, with the refundable component credited after participation in the written examination, subject to notification conditions.
  • Women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen candidates generally receive application-fee exemption or refund benefits under ISRO recruitment rules.
  • Payment must be completed through the available online facility. Bank or transaction charges, if applicable, will be borne by the applicant.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Eligible applicants will appear for an objective or prescribed written test assessing general aptitude, reasoning, language, arithmetic and relevant office skills.
  2. Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer literacy test or stenography test, depending on the post. The skill test is generally qualifying in nature, subject to the recruitment rules.
  3. Document Verification and Medical Requirements: Final-stage candidates must produce original educational, identity, category and experience documents. Appointment will remain subject to verification and applicable fitness standards.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates are expected to be appointed in Pay Level 4 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, carrying a basic pay scale of approximately ₹25,500 to ₹81,100. Employees may also receive dearness allowance, house rent allowance, transport allowance, medical facilities, pension-related benefits and other admissible Central Government benefits, depending on the place of posting and prevailing rules.
