The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the CDS 2 final result marks for candidates who participated in the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025 selection process. The recruitment drive was conducted for 453 vacancies across the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy, with final marks and merit details published in 2026.

Candidates should note that academy-wise final results and marks may be uploaded separately. The marks are generally available for a limited period, so shortlisted applicants should download and retain a copy for their records.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
  • Indian Naval Academy: An engineering degree from a recognised university or institution.
  • Air Force Academy: A recognised bachelor’s degree with Physics and Mathematics studied at the Class 12 level, or a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of the prescribed degree were permitted to apply subject to producing proof of qualification within the stipulated timeline.

Age Limit

  • IMA and INA: Unmarried male candidates generally within the notified 19–24-year age bracket.
  • Air Force Academy: Candidates generally required to be 20–24 years old. The upper limit may extend to 26 years for eligible candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot Licence.
  • OTA: Candidates generally required to be 19–25 years old, subject to the prescribed marital-status conditions.
  • Exact date-of-birth limits and relaxations are governed by the official CDS 2 notification.

Fees

  • General and OBC male candidates: ₹200.
  • Female, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No application fee.
  • The fee was payable online through the methods supported by the UPSC application portal.
  • There is no separate fee for downloading the final result or marks sheet.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination: Candidates appeared for objective papers covering English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. OTA applicants were required to take English and General Knowledge papers only.
  2. SSB Interview: Candidates who cleared the written examination underwent intelligence, psychological, group testing and personal interview stages conducted by the Services Selection Board.
  3. Medical Examination and Final Merit: SSB-qualified candidates underwent medical examination. Final recommendations were prepared using written and SSB marks, subject to eligibility, medical fitness, document verification and available vacancies.

  1. The application process for CDS 2, 2025 is closed; no fresh application is required to view the 2026 final marks.
  2. Visit the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in and open the “Examinations” or “What’s New” section.
  3. Select the link for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025 – Final Result/Marks.
  4. Open the merit list PDF and search using the roll number or candidate name. Use the PDF search function for quicker verification.
  5. If an individual marks module is provided, enter the registration or roll number, date of birth and security code as displayed.
  6. Download the marks sheet and merit list PDF. Verify the written score, SSB score, total marks, rank and academy details before saving a copy.
  7. Recommended candidates should follow the joining, document verification and academy instructions issued by the respective service headquarters.
